This list is terrible. As a Steelers fan I can tell you that there are EASILY 5 better players on the Steelers then Ben Roethlisberger, yet he is the highest rated Steeler at #17.

Alan Faneca, Joey Porter, Hines Ward, and others.

KB4Z,

I'd say Freeney and Seymour are about equal. I think they are close enough that arguing about who is better is probably pointless. My first statement that Freeney is clearly better than Seymour was wrong. Like I said, these lists suck in general and this one in particular.

Think Randy Moss and Chad Johnson need to be replaced with Steve Smith, Shaun Alexander or even Antonio Gates.

Brett Favre on the list at all seems really bad. Could Matt Hasselbeck have a good case for top 50?

Will Roethlisberger finally be the player that makes everyone stop giving so much credit for wins and losses to QBs? About 40 different players see the field in a football game, 50 if you include special teams. While QB is clearly the most important position, he doesn't WIN or LOSE every game. The team does. He is just one piece, maybe a 10% piece, of the puzzle. In PGH, where the other 90% is freakin good, maybe, just maybe, the young QB with the crappy stats is just average. Because he is tall and white and the QB, he continues to get praise as a great "game manager" or "the next Joe Montana". Whatever.
