The only thing I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] about the internet is it contains a pokersite that is designed to the abhorrence of all players that are any good and still attracts the most moronic fish imaginable like crazy.

Unless they've changed very recently, they cap the rake at $4 (not $5). Granted, it's still the worst rake online.
I put together a comparison of the major site's rake structure and Pacific is pretty much the highest rake at all limits. |

The rake is high, but what about the fact you have to wait a week for a netteller cashout??? This is more concerning to me. The rake can be made up somewhat by the soft games

Very cool charts. Thanks.
Edit: So have you considered the distribution of pot sizes? If you knew that you could more reasonably judge the rake. |

[/ QUOTE ] I thought about using average pot sizes, but this can be so volatile (even within the same site at the same limits). It all depends on how that particular table is playing at the time. |

If you play $2-$4 limit and you win a pot of $19 you will be pushed $18.05 at Pacific and $19.00 at Party.
If you win 50 such pots in a session, you'll be pushed $902.50 at Pacific and $950 at Party. |

[/ QUOTE ] You can see from the graphs that at the lower limits Stars has a slightly better rake structure than Party. However, the 15/30 graph shows that Stars is more expensive than Party for small pots at higher limits. If you're playing low limits you shold play at PokerStars if you're very concerned abot how much rake you're paying. But I guess you need to consider if you think you can win more at Party to make up for the rake difference. |
