[/ QUOTE ] In a restaurant with prices as high as these there are usually more people to "tip out" than in a regular diner/olive garden type place. For example there is the Hostess, busboy, expediter, bartender etc. who all get tipped a percentage of the head waitor/waitress' total sales, not total tips. Hope that clears it up for you

You can pay for the food alone, and decide the gratuity yourself (the way the US is now); or you can pay 15% more on the menu price and not tip (the way most of Europe is). Either way, you (should) pay. Not tipping is classless.
