First, a pocket pair trying to improve to a set AFTER the flop is only a 2 outer which needs more than 14 to 1 pot odds.

I actually think Raising his flop bet is not that bad. Because this is a TAG that only 3 bet your preflop raise, he's not the one that capped. He could have 77,88,99 depending on this range. And he might bet out with these being a TAG. He might also have a med/low Ace that might find a fold to an Agg Reraiser.

After you cap preflop, i definitely don't think you should just fold to 1 small bet on a flopped Ace.

Folding to his 3bet on the flop is ok. As he probably has AJ+ or some other thing that beats you.

That is correct but assuming we can get 2 bets on the turn if we hit (maybe even 3) and one on the river then calling here is fine.
