I think the only part that's ugly is the terrible, terrible pre-flop call. Yuck. 3 bet him or get out.

[/ QUOTE ]

if bb is very loose i think preflop is ok given this blind structure.

I normally fold preflop but a call isnt that bad.

I C/R the flop, why bet out?

as you played it I 3bet the flop betting all the way, if he raises again then I fold the river unimproved.

Against spelatight, I would just c/c down after the flop. I have about 2k hands on him and hes like 43/28/2 and plays like it. Sometimes good LAG, sometimes mega donkey spewing LAG.

c/r flop is SOOOO, I have not hit the hand, reraise me and make it expensive.
The pf decisions is because I know he can resteal postflop with high aggression, so I either want bb in or the chance to represent alot of hands.
I think this is a golden flop to bet. I know he will raise me often with a worse. I thought of reraising the flop, but felt he might still move on the turn if I did, so I awaited the turn as to not represent the draw. The turndonk is often a slowdown play if he is ahead and otherwise a oddscutter and valuebet.

ps. spelatight in this session went from 24/17 to 35/24 . 100 hands to 300 hands stats on him.
This was all 4-6 handed

that said, i 3 bet this or fold, personally i like 66+ in this spot, but i think that absent the pf 3 bet to increase ure fold equity and represent a decent hand, i like all other streets

w/ a 2/3 sb and a 40/30 guy opening on the button, folding 55 is just awful. thats just lighting money onm fire.

Folding preflop is horrible.
You played the hand fine.

Whoever advocates folding preflop doesn't play 15 30.

I think your line is interesting but agree that preflop isn't very good. If you are in the BB I think calling is more plausible but I would prefer to just 3-bet bet this instead of getting tricky with a vulnerable and difficult-to-read hand OOP. Both the advantage and problem with only calling here is you've given no sign of strength, which also means, as a LAG, he is putting the petal to the metal almost all the time on the flop. So while calling here gives you some deceptive value and lets you see a flop cheaply OOP, it also gives you zero information about his hand since he is going to be laying on the aggression full steam to your perceived weakness. I just don't see the benefit of calling this preflop.

The way you played the hand preflop I think a checkraise on this flop is mandatory. You are certainly way ahead of a 40/30 range here from the button and you have a lot of equity on the flop. I would just call a 3-bet and get to showdown against this lagtard.
