Poker Ace Problem

does anyone have the current IP for pokerace for the fix yet?
I live in Edmonton and I have SHAW also [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Forgive my ignorance, but how come it's not a simple matter for us to just figure out the IP of a website on our own? Are website IP addresses hidden away in ISP's DNS lists? I always thought a site's IP and it's domain name were interchangeable...

You can, even if your nameserver is out of date. The current problem seems to be that many of them are out of date, enough that i wonder if his hosting company has really even submitted the update yet.

I've been playing without pokerace because of this (just using plain old notes), but hopefully this problem gets sorted out soon, because I paid for the program, and I feel a little bit ripped off since there's nothing I can really do

I want to apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused. I changed servers nearly three weeks ago and the DNS changes should've been completed by now.

Apparently, some ISPs do things a little differently and decided not to update properly. I guess this has something to do with my old hosting company. I have contacted them and asked them to immediately make whatever changes necessary for this to be resolved.

In the meantime, you can use the instructions given here with the IP address 82.165.132.175 and you should be able to connect successfully. Hopefully this will be completely resolved over the next 24-48 hours.
