[JW's are not allowed to talk to ex-JW's] **** "invite them in and explain to them that "Jehova" is not actually God. Jehova was the name of a demon in Sumerian mythology (Sumerians are the ancestors of all modern mediterranean civilisation) and the name Jehova was mistakenly used thereafter to mean "God" - consequently all of the JW's cult is founded on a mistake and it turns out that technically they are devil worshipers. **** this guy used to be a 3rd level JW for 33 years apparently - he now runs a anti-JW webpage (see link) with insider info and suchlike...

"Yup, hold on just a minute..." ...sets receiver down on the table and goes back to doing whatever he was doing...

If your gonna go JW, its a 30 hour a week commitment at mininum. My father-in-law has a pretty good line - Ask the JW if its true they believe all of this was previously predicted. They will get excited and say "yes! yes! it's all in the scriptures!" Thats when you get to say, "Oh then I guess you saw this coming." And shut the door in their faces.

I pretend to be interested at first, and then I ask...
Me: “Can you tell me why Jehovas do not celebrate Halloween?” JW: “well, blah, blah, blah, whatever, etc.” Me: “Oh, I always thought it was because they don't like strangers coming to their doors and bothering them”
