I take something for my Chron's disiese. My doctor calls it MP6. I forget the chemical name. I apparently lowers my white blood cell count so the little guys don't attack my intestine.

Allegra (when I can afford it, that [censored] is expensive now) it's a must have come fall due to my severe allergy to Ragweed/Mugwort.

And I take massive amounts of Advil during 'that time of month'. Like 4 at a time (200mg each) at least 6 times a day. It's probably not healthy, but I'd die w/out it the 1st two days of my period.

Thanks for the story, DP. I hadn't heard of the condition before, I checked out some of the 'treatment' pics and I was surprised at how much metalwork was used... Sounds like a long haul and I wish you successful treatment. How did you injure your hand originally?

My story is not very interesting other than the effects greatly outweigh the cause. I had a motorcycle accident in 1995, very low speed, I was hit by a lorry that didn't see me. My r leg took the impact and snapped like a twig just above my ankle. The compound fracture was fixed with an intra-medullary nail through my knee, hammered down the length of my tibia, and removed a year later. Orthopaedically I am 'fixed. However, pain in my knee and the fracture site has been continuous ever since. I would never have imagined something as 'trivial' as breaking my leg (even as severe as it was) would have such a devastating impact on my quality of life.

I have also tried methodone, and also Duragesic (the fentanyl patch) but I had a bad time with them. I felt like I was constantly going in and out of withdrawal, and nothing really helped the pain enough to want to continue.

Have you, or will you, try Neurontin (gabapentin) for nerve pain? This really zoned me out, though I was on a high dose, but some ppl have success with this.

depends on the day, nothing consistently. possible drugs in any given day or week are:

basic aspirin, vitamins (multi and vitamin C), claritin, marijuana (this is by far the best one, and i highly recommend it), adderol before final exams.

Im on quite a few,

Risperidone
Olanzapine
Quetiapine

all once daily,

then benzodiazepine alprazolam at times of acute illness, and a shot of adrenaline before tea time

Sometimes carbamazepine (in case of epillepsy), and then chlorpromazine before bed.

To be honest it all seems a bit much
