Chelsea or Arsenal

If Arsenal wins the CL final, then Arsenal has had the better season. And it's not really close.

If Arsenal loses the CL final, then I think it's a good debate, and I would narrowly give the edge to Chelsea.

Edit: Put it this way:

Would Chelsea trade their Premiership trophy for the CL trophy? Of course.
Would Chelsea trade their Premiership trophy for a spot in the CL final? Maybe.
Would Chelsea trade their Premiership trophy to be CL runners-up? Probably not.

The only reasons we're even debating this is because Chelsea got a horrible draw in the CL and got only of the very few teams in europe that had a serious shot at knocking them out.
A season is an entire year, not just the 10 games or so you do in the CL, Arsenal had a horrible year.

I would make that trade in a heartbeat. And I bet every Chelsea player would also. The Champions League is soccer's version of the World Series. If you win CL, nothing else really matters.

We're not debating which team is better, because Chelsea is the superior team. I woulden't argue that. But that's a different debate than which team had a better season. Arsenal has had a better season. They're in the CL final, and Chelsea is not.
