Re: AK line
[ QUOTE ]
Either way it doesn't matter. [/ QUOTE ] If you don't think there is a difference between a flop raise and turn raise in this hand you must hate money and should stop playing poker. |

Re: AK line
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Scenario 1 : Draw hits he doesn't bet turn again. Scenario 2 : Draw hits he bet/folds Scenario 3 : Draw hits, you freeze up and can't raise [/ QUOTE ] A mistake I realize it is a too strong a word and incorrect. However it is a blindsteal situation and he can't put you on too strong a hand and will probably call you down with any made hand. I'd checkraise this board If I were him with QJ and figure to have 10 outs most of them time. I'd expect him to bet turn 95% of the times. He cr flop in a blind steal situation. There are so many, too many draws that can hit so you can't freeze up if one of them gets there. Raise turn anyway. I don't expect him to freeze up either in this situation cause it is (once again) a steal. Your scenarios. 1. Should rarely ever happen 2. If he bet/folds his hand is probably very weak and he would've folded to your turn bet after your fl 3b anyway. You gain 0.5 SB 3. Is not a possibility at all since I raise anyway. Possible hands. 1. Weak made hand, probably call you down anyway 2. Draw 3. Bluff 4. 2 pair+ He's with 90% certainty on one of the first 3 hands and in all of them you gain with a turn raise line. [/ QUOTE ] nice work. this is good. i was thinking that by just calling a flop c/r, it may induce bluffs on the turn and river, without exposing myself to a turn 3-bet. conversely, i can wait til the river to raise my top pair hand, so that he may be too afraid to 3-bet me. still, if he is a good defender and doubts me, he may call down with something really but fold to the more dangerous looking turn line. anyway, good analysis. |
