Default AK line

villain is unknown, first orbit -- seems reasonable. i'm not sure how to play these hands anymore. to 3 bet the flop or to call with the intention of raising any turn. or to perhaps just call down, making sure at least one bet goes in on the turn and river. it's probably best to do a % of each. but as a standard, how do you play. the trouble with raising the turn is reacting to a turn 3-bet.

**Post deleted because its 7AM here and I've been up all night and I have no reading comprehension skills. That is all.**

Edit 2: Luckily me being a [censored] lives on in quote blocks to prevent this in the future.

Right. It's ok to call and c/r the turn sometimes but I wouldn't get funky on this board. There's a whole lot of cards that could peel off that would make your hand difficult to play and getting freecarded blows.

[/ QUOTE ]

we have position so never get freecarded.

Hero is in position so he can't get free carded. I dont think its a good idea to do it oop, but I like calling the raise here and popping the turn sometimes. I think it's very opponent dependant though.

Call flop.
Raise turn and call down further agression.

3bet flop is a mistake on this drawheavy board.
You gain much more value with a turn raise.

Scenario 1 : Draw hits he doesn't bet turn again.
Scenario 2 : Draw hits he bet/folds
Scenario 3 : Draw hits, you freeze up and can't raise

Waiting for turn is worse than 3-betting, he will also think you are FoS as you "could" have a draw. Obviously mixing up your play is great and both lines are definitely +EV.

Either way it doesn't matter. 3-betting the flop is no where close to being a mistake.

I think a lot of times BB is just trying to protect. Usually I mix it up, but would probably prefer to 3-bet most of the time.

A mistake I realize it is a too strong a word and incorrect.

However it is a blindsteal situation and he can't put you on
too strong a hand and will probably call you down with any made hand.

I'd checkraise this board If I were him with QJ and figure to have 10 outs most of them time.

I'd expect him to bet turn 95% of the times. He cr flop in a blind steal situation.

There are so many, too many draws that can hit so you can't freeze up if one of them gets there. Raise turn anyway.

I don't expect him to freeze up either in this situation cause it is (once again) a steal.

Your scenarios.
1. Should rarely ever happen
2. If he bet/folds his hand is probably very weak and he would've folded to your turn bet after your fl 3b anyway. You gain 0.5 SB
3. Is not a possibility at all since I raise anyway.

Possible hands.
1. Weak made hand, probably call you down anyway
2. Draw
3. Bluff
4. 2 pair+

He's with 90% certainty on one of the first 3 hands and in all of them you gain with a turn raise line.
