i hate subway because some people i know refer to their subs/sandwiches from subway as "a subway."

example:
me: "yo man, what are you eating?"
roommate/moron: "a meatball subway"

[/ QUOTE ]

What an excellent reason to hate a restaurant.

so i went to the Subway in Champaign and got the Daily Special which is a 6" for $2.50. that day it was Ham+Turkey. i don't like Ham so I told the kid to omit it from my wonderfully crafted sandwiche. I noticed the older lady manager craning like MacGyver to watch a black guy who came in to get a glass of water. Oh man, supernit. I get to the register and she charges me full price.
"I got the daily special"
"The daily special was ham and turkey, you only got turkey"
"Well, I mean I'm getting less food, what is the difference?"
"You didn't get the special, I cant give you the special price"
"Ok, can you put ham on the sandwiche and give it to me for $2.50?"
So the kid puts ham on my sandwiche, I pay $2.50, take the ham off my sandwiche, slam it on the counter, and say "[censored] you lady"

Nicholson fan?

Dupea: I'd like a plain omelette, no potatoes, tomatoes instead, a cup of coffee, and wheat toast.
Waitress: (She points to the menu) No substitutions.
Dupea: What do you mean? You don't have any tomatoes?
Waitress: Only what's on the menu. You can have a number two - a plain omelette. It comes with cottage fries and rolls.
Dupea: Yeah, I know what it comes with. But it's not what I want.
Waitress: Well, I'll come back when you make up your mind.
Dupea: Wait a minute. I have made up my mind. I'd like a plain omelette, no potatoes on the plate, a cup of coffee, and a side order of wheat toast.
Waitress: I'm sorry, we don't have any side orders of toast...an English muffin or a coffee roll.
Dupea: What do you mean you don't make side orders of toast? You make sandwiches, don't you?
Waitress: Would you like to talk to the manager?
Dupea: ...You've got bread and a toaster of some kind?
Waitress: I don't make the rules.
Dupea: OK, I'll make it as easy for you as I can. I'd like an omelette, plain, and a chicken salad sandwich on wheat toast, no mayonnaise, no butter, no lettuce. And a cup of coffee.
Waitress: A number two, chicken sal san, hold the butter, the lettuce and the mayonnaise. And a cup of coffee. Anything else?
Dupea: Yeah. Now all you have to do is hold the chicken, bring me the toast, give me a check for the chicken salad sandwich, and you haven't broken any rules.
Waitress (spitefully): You want me to hold the chicken, huh?
Dupea: I want you to hold it between your knees.

Play of the day. The whole "I'll wait for the black dude" is of course an unrealistic scenario that nobody ever do, I don't know why people are suggesting that as if they'd actually do anything like that ever.

Close enough, but my friends and I go to a certain pool hall in our area that has a ridiculously hot waitress along with just regular ones. When a table opens, if it isn't in the ridiculously hot waitresses zone, we'll roll our names, due to not wanting to play yet / wanting to drink heavily first / needing to finish a conversation before getting on with the pool festivities...

This is a racist comment, but I would say that on average I get between 30 and 70% more meat on my sandwich from black males than any other demographic.
Wow, that sounds so bad.

I haven't particularly tracked black vs. white, but I always thought it was a given that women at Subways made the better sandwiches: always plentiful fixin's (the main reason I go to Subway).

HELL NO IT'S NOT A DICKHEADED MOVE!

There's absolutely no reason to put up with crappy service, ever. No matter what business you're patronizing, they're depending on your dollar, so if they mess up, go spend it elsewhere.

It's not racist man. Black men supply you with a lot of meat. No biggie.

I get so pissed when people make my sub poorly... My dream is to be able to go on the other side and make it myself I think of it every time i get some sandwich cheapskate/rookie. I would pay so much extra for this.

I had one made so sloppily and poorly one time I almost threw it out and I LOOOOOOOOVE SUBS
