Re: Subway (food) Incident
[ QUOTE ]
also one of my standard subway choices that i was going for today: club (turkey, ham, roastbeef) on whitebread. -a bit of lettuce, banana peppers, and pickles. -salt, pepper, and yellow mustard (sometimes spicy mustard). what are some of your default subway choices? [/ QUOTE ] Spicy italian on wheat, cheddar cheese with lettuce, lots of pickles, green peppers, little bit of onion, and a bit of ranch sauce and southwest sauce is my sub nirvana. |

No one likes footlong chicken bacon ranch, with tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers and pickles and ranch? It is the only thing I order at subway... [/ QUOTE ] No, because you can just go to Quiznos and get a Mesquite or Honey Mustard Chicken sub which are 40943209342890 times better than anything at subway, for a lesser price. |

Re: Subway (food) Incident
[ QUOTE ]
When the black dude asked the other guy to help you, why didn't you say: "no no I'll wait. You're doing an excellent job on this guy's sandwich and I want you to make mine." You would have gotten a better sandwich than the Italian dude because the black guy would have been so happy about your compliment and would double his effort on you. [/ QUOTE ] This would be the best move here. |

In the time it took you to wait around, Jimmy Johns could have your sandwich delivered.

Re: Subway (food) Incident

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Quiznos sucks almost as much as Subway. [/ QUOTE ] You must have the worst Quiznos ever. [/ QUOTE ] Local deli shop > Quiznos > Subway [/ QUOTE ] Most of you city folk are spoiled. This always becomes apparent in threads about resturant chains. All the local places around here are just average at best, you might get a bigger sandwich and thats good but its usually nothing more than what I would get if I went to Kroger and bought bread and meat from the Deli/Bakery. The food at Quiznos while certainly not top notch is something I can't make at home becasue of all their sauces which are in general delicious. |

The last time I ordered from them they overcharged me and doubled the tip I told them to put on my credit card. I will never voluntarily order from there again. |

Re: Subway (food) Incident
Nottom,
Yes, being in the city has its advantages in that you get hundreds of different sandwich shops to pick from, all of them being better than Subway. As for making sandwiches at home, I do this as well. Central Market as great deli meat, some of you from North Dallas may know what I am talking about. This place has everything for a sandwich potentially better than anything from a chain/restaurant. |

Re: Subway (food) Incident
My old Safeway actually made really good sandwiches. I'm not sure if a lot of them do it, but I was pretty suprised.

Re: Subway (food) Incident
Play of the day.
Typical at Subway, in my experience. Depending on who's working, the sandwich quality can vary wildly. Once at a Rally's drivethrough I drove off without my order when the cashier couldn't figure out that two Rallyburgers, fries and a shake doesn't cost $25. I tried to explain it to her, but she said that's the price. I said "fine", and just drove away. Don't ask my what I was doing at a Rally's in the first place. |
