I'd have liked if UTG was deeper, but so it goes. I called, the turn was an offsuit 6 giving me top 2.

I checked, he bet $100 (a weakish half-pot bet) I put him all in for $375.

And he quickly folded, right? What do you do when you miss turn and he fires the half pot $100? I would advocate still pushing. You're right about him needing to be deeper though, missed his stack size.

to those saying his outs are dirty, you realise that this isn't true after Co and button fold.

Personally, I find that people play very honest poker in big mutiway pots. As a result, I fold the flop

Ummm, not exactly sure what you are trying to say. Why couldn't UTG have a hand like top-set, 86s, or even 64s? Why are you limiting his range to 88+, 78s, etc? I don't understand whay the Co and Bt folding has to do with the fact he could very well be drawing dead or to a chop?

I think I like a lead here instead of c/r. Most players can definitely get away from a big pair if you do this.

on the flop I would either raise or fold, and I would only raise if I knew my opponent would fold a big pair.

What's wrong with a bigass checkraise here? His short-ish-but-not-really-short stack helps here, giving you better odds if he does play. If he plays he has an overpair, so all your outs are live unless the BB hit something. On a second thought make that 'normal-sized checkraise' - pot it or make it 180. You'll call anyway if he pushes, but it looks more like a set to me.

If this pot gets played multiway or vs. someone else than the raiser, though, I play this extremely passively, folding to any but the most wimpy bets. Becaues I have no information, I certainly don't lead the flop.
