You can try to use Process Tamer whilst we wait for about 4 years for them to fix it - it helps a little.

Interesting, I tried this program when I played today. Party's CPU usage gradually began to grow and after around 45 minutes the program tried to control party by downgrading its priority. It did basically nothing though other than make party lag even more and party's memory usage just kept on growing despite the lowered priority until I finally had to stop playing once again because I could barely move my mouse.

I wouldn't do it with just Party - also with postgres (if you use it) and PokerTracker (ditto), probably can't hurt with PA Hud too. Basically just everything that might use up resources. You probably want it to 'jump the gun' more than the default settings too - I think I have it on about 30-35 as to when to reduce stuff, and automatically force all of the above and Party to "Low".

Oh yeah and get FreeRAM XP Pro.. that should help to keep the memory cleared a bit.

After getting bubbled on three games last night, at least partially due to timing out for not being about to click my damned buttons or move my slider or even activate the right table, I sent my second email to them. The first I sent last week had the script you included here. The one last night just said "fix the [censored] memory problem you incompentent [censored]".

The second one actually got a response, which was "we don't know what you are talking about". I then kindly explained to them what I was talking about and they sent this:

<font color=" blue">
Dear Matt,

Thank you for contacting us.

I apologize for the inconvenience caused.

I request you to follow the steps mentioned below to resolve the issue.

Please uninstall and reinstall the PartyPoker.com software for any of
the installation, connectivity, graphics and sound problems, as we have
launched a new build this morning. The new version launched will
address the above mentioned difficulties.

IMPORTANT: Before you uninstall the software ensure you save "Player
Notes" onto a separate word file so that they can be retained. If you do
not, all the notes you made through the "Add Player Notes" option will
be lost.

To uninstall the software:

1. Click Start, point to Settings, click on Control Panel, and then
double-click on the Add/Remove Programs.
2. Select PartyPoker.com, and then click on Change/Remove button to
completely remove the software from your system.

To reinstall the software

1. Go to our website, click on "Click here to download and play now" to
download the software.
2. Save the setup file to the desktop.
3. Double-click on the saved setup file to start the installation
procedure.
4. Change the default installation directory from "C:\Program
Files\PartyPoker.com" to "C:\PartyPoker.com".

Addition to the installation, I request you to follow the steps below:

1) Close all the programs
2) Click on Start
3) Click on Programs
4) Click on Accessories
5) Select System Tools
6) Click on Disk Cleanup

Once the Disk cleanup starts, check all the check boxes shown and click
on the "Start" button. After the disk cleanup is done, you will be
taken back to the desktop.

Now, to delete all temp files and cookies, follow the steps below.

1) Close all programs/windows and open Internet Explorer
2) Click on Tools on the menu bar.
3) Click on Internet Options.
4) Click on "Delete Files". Check "Delete all offline content" option.
5) Click on "View Files". Click on "Edit" on the top and click on
"Select All". Press the "Del" on the keyboard. Close this window. Also close
the Settings window.
6) Click on the "Clear History" button. Click on "Yes" to confirm.
Click "Ok" and close all the windows. Also close Internet Explorer.

Thank you for choosing us as your online gaming site!

This is what bothers me the most. Its quite possible that they're never going to fix this if they don't even admit that the problem exists.

I completely forget about my email until now so I checked.

On March 19th I got this.

Thank you for contacting us.

When you are playing online poker, the amount of information that passes to and fro every second is much more than when you surf the Internet. Sometimes due to the high traffic at any one of the intermediary
servers that connect your server to our game servers, your computer may not accept any more data that refreshes the table or a network congestion or disconnection at one of these intermediate servers, can cause you to disconnect from the game.

The connection that your ISP takes when you are playing at a table is entirely different from the connection to the PartyPoker.com lobby.
For example, if you play at two different tables, the connection that your ISP takes via the intermediary servers to connect to one table is entirely different from the connection to the other table. In such
cases, a player might get disconnected from one table without the connection to the other table being affected.

In such cases, you should always logout and log back in or also drop your Internet connection and then reconnect in order to get connected to both the tables.

Thank you for choosing us as your online gaming site!

Newt you should make a 2nd form letter to send in response to their ridiculous form letters. I suspect itll apply to everyone. And probably a 3rd form letter thats a little more harsh for ignoring you twice and asking to be heard from a manager or something.

hmmm, battling party's form letters with form letters of our own? Interesting idea. I keep on meaning to call them up and try to get in contact with a manager that I can bitch at. I'm pretty annoyed that I even have to do this stuff though. I'm not sure what else to do though other than keep on pestering party as they pretty much have me trapped. Its not like I can just pack up and 8 table high buyin SNGs on another site.
