you can always put on more clothes. there's only a limited number you can take off.

This is overrated. It is often uncomfortable to wear several layers of clothes, especially if one of them is a jacket. This tends to restrict movement and generally isn't as preferable as wearing shorts and a t-shirt. Also, as someone else mentioned, clothes don't protect your hands or your face. Sure you can put on gloves and such, but again, the comfort level keeps getting lower as you do so.

Edit: Iggy beat me to this.

I hate heat. Summer weather is [censored] gay. Trying to sleep with no AC in sweltering July heat, rolling around and sweating and turning your pillow over every 3 nanoseconds is about as bad as you get. In the winter, even if I didn't have heat for some reason, I would have a [censored] blanket. And even if I was pretending it was Auschwitz and I didn't have a blanket, it would undeniably be better than hot weather.

Sweating > shivering.

Less clothes > more clothes.

Warm parts of the world > cold parts of the world.

Heat has it in a walk.

You [censored] idiots are not getting the point of the OP

He is not talking about extremem weather conditions and it's obvious. He is refering to being in a room that is slightly too cool to be comfortable or a room that is slightly too warm to be comfortable. Cleary, too cool is the best option.

Tony,

Exactly. It's like, is it better to be sweating a bit and trying to cool yourself down or be a little cold and just put on a sweatshirt?

Or you could just sweat a little, and enjoy it. I enjoy sweating a little, especially when there's a pool not far away.

People saying it's easy to warm up with sweaters, etc. are missing the point. If you put a sweater on, you're not too cold anymore! The point is how it feels to BE too hot or too cold at the moment

[/ QUOTE ]

No its not. The OP clearly implied that you can try to adjust your temperature.
