Either that, or they want to check out your fancy watch to determine whether you are even worth taking a shot at. The proper play is to pay attention, keep your distance, and tell him you don't have a watch.

However, this sounds like it happened in Bethesda, and Bethesda is one of the better neighborhoods in DC and that area is relatively safe. You just run into some bad luck.

I made the mistake of sticking around in very similar circumstances. Except they breed villians a little bigger and tougher in New Zealand where I live.

My lip was split clean through to my teeth but I'm bigger than you and I can fight. I didn't take kindly to seeing my own blood.

The real problems for me came when his 3 other friends decided to come out of the pub across the street.

One positive. He didn't have a weapon.




Big negative. His mates did.



End result.
4 stitches in my lip. A cracked eye socket and I very nearly got stabbed.
Because I was a Hero for no reason.
