Don't forget that HOH is centered around MTT play, and raising with TT in an MTT UTG is a far more acceptable play at almost all blind levels.

Could you elaborate? Thanks.

Payout structure in SNGs (top 30%) vs MTTs (~top 10%) dictates a different style of play. It's easier to cash in STTs with a smaller stack, therefore busting on marginal hands is less +$EV. That's why we look for strong edges early, while the stacks are still deep. In an MTT, where only 10% get paid (and the real money is the final table/top finishers), taking any edge, playing more hands, and making moves become more profitable, because it can build you a stack. Building a big stack is more important in MTTs for the aforementioned reasons.

Regardless, I don't raise TT UTG early in an MTT either.
