Re: oh god, im posting a should i fold KK pre flop here question
Everybody seems to be missing the point here. Sure you have to call getting 3:1. Sure you're a 4:1 dog when he has AA, but he doesn't have AA 100% of the time. In fact if the limp/reraise means AA/KK 90% of the time and anything else 10% of the time, calling is plus EV.
The real question is why you came over the top when he limp-reraised you? That's the point where you need to assess the probability of AA, not wait until after half your stack is in. |

You didn't say what level you are playing, but if you really have no read, at 100NL-6max I'm going to estimate you're looking at AA only about 70% of the time. |

You're getting exactly 3-1 odds here. You'd need 4-1 if you were POSITIVE he has AA, but you aren't. This is a must-call here. I think you see AK, QQ, or the rare other KK here enough to make up for the extra odds you are missing out on. [/ QUOTE ] As played I agree, I was simply suggesting to call the limp/ raise, not fold to the push. |

Re: oh god, im posting a should i fold KK pre flop here question
If you decide that he can be making the play with QQ, then you've got 50% equity. Classic WA/WB situation. Take the flop and see if it adds any equity through back door possibilities or a scary board. I don't see many people at this level laying down an overpair, but a monochrome board may get you to showdown cheap. If you flop a str8 draw with 2 of a suit you hold, your equity edge lets you play more aggressively.
On the other hand, if this is your regular level, you need to have a gut feeling about what a limp-reraise typically means. if almost everytime you see it, it's AA/KK, then you can fold your KK preflop and accept that as a reality of your game. If you tend to see a wider variety of hands, then you go to war preflop with KK and accept the fact that x% of the time, he'll have AA and you'll lose your stack. |

Re: oh god, im posting a should i fold KK pre flop here question
if you flop a set i think you can figure it out.
otherwise your hoping to show down as cheap as possible, although i admit this the chance of this are very slim, esp being OOP. |

Re: oh god, im posting a should i fold KK pre flop here question
At NL $10 you will see QQ and AK and here enough to call the push, however, 3 betting isnt the greatest idea to begin with....
