Re: WSOP 33 Rebuy On Stars - Flopped Straight
Vava -
There is no problem with "thinking" you may be against a bigger straight, obviously that would be horrible. But if one of the other guys has a flush draw, your way ahead, and want to get your money in everytime. I'm not being sarcastic at all, but do you see why? |

Re: WSOP 33 Rebuy On Stars - Flopped Straight
ZBT, I appreciate the comments...
I don't play rebuy MTT's ever and my mentality is cash games...I don't know what I was thinking but I just couldn't see me being ahead.... I do see why... Been a frustrating night on the poker front for me...Made some bad decisions... |

Wow, i see the point you're trying to make, and it's perfectly valid to fold... in Omaha! Rebuy plays no role as this is such a no-brainer. [/ QUOTE ] this is EXACTLY what went through my head. "no, don't fold- this isn't omaha" sheesh. no real input besides that |

Re: WSOP 33 Rebuy On Stars - Flopped Straight
If I'm reading this correctly, I'd seriously suggest not playing the 33R. It seems to me as if you are valuing 33 dollars too much and afraid to stick it in for the sake of having to put another 30 (or 60) dollars into the pot.
I'm not trying to be rude, I just know that if I was playing over my roll or something like that (which I do often and it kills me) I overthink and play really bad due to the money in the tourney meaning more to me than it should. I don't know your roll situation, but if the fact that 30 or 60 dollars was a lot to you I'd resist playing in them. If this is no way had any bearings on your decision then, well, um, uh...... Re: WSOP 33 Rebuy On Stars - Flopped Straight
Brad, Unfortuantely, it is well within my roll...I had planned to do 2 rebuys and the add-on, but after that fold, my heart just wasn't in it...so I called it quits for the evening...But I understand what you are saying...
I got knocked out with KK vs 55 .... 456 flop...and I was thankful I had been put out of my misery ! I just have been sucking at poker lately... The more I think about it....The more I'm annoyed I even folded, let alone post it on here.... Vava |

*G*
I'd Call. He's got trips, or JsTs, or some other monstrosity of a draw. Great chance to double up here and we're still in rebuy. |

Call. It's the rebuy period. People are idiots until the first break. [/ QUOTE ] I kind of agree with Ansky. Even though $33 isn't a ton of money, there are still a lot of players in freeroll mode who will go all in on anything. However, this looks like a semi-bluff to me on MP3's part and the CO might have caught a good piece of the flop too. Let's break it down...MP3 and the CO might have two spades in their hand, or AK - AT (suited in :spade or unsuited) or even pocket Jacks or Queens. Especially if one of them has AQ [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] or AQ offsuit, it's likely that player is trying to protect what he thinks is the best hand. Your straight is completely disguised. Finally, the only hand that beats you right now is KT. If one of them shows it, then you're beat. I'd call and if you get unlucky and outdrawn on the hand just rebuy. AC |
