I'm having a hard time figuring out exactly how much money is in before you act, but assuming it's the following:
2000 in antes, 1000 SB (from you), 2000 BB from villian and you have 14000 left...

I think you have to bet 1/2 to 3/4 of pot.

The reason is because you said he is a good player and you put in a really big raise. He has to think you have a High Pocket pair (or unlikely but...
