Re: KK tough river decision

I agree that a river raise rules out most bluffs, so he must have something, but it could be AQ. With that size of pot, is a fold still the right choice?

Clearly the river bet didn't do what I...

KK tough river decision

I need help here - I keep looking at this hand over and over, and I just can't decide what the right way to play this situation is. There are two questions here: 1) Should I play this differently...

Re: KINGS - 4 handed 3 bet pot

After calling the flop, the bet on the turn screams 'you probably lost', but with the odds your getting you have to call. As pointed out, you're hoping he has AQ, not QQ or A9-suited or AA. The...

if you can actually find a hand vs a good player that 5bet shoved worse than AQ w/ 0 FE then he was either on monkey tilt or you have been 4bet repotting it w/ garbage enough to make him...

Re: KK preflop 200BB is this a fold?

Having just lost an $800 tonight in a KK v AA allin preflop, I came here seeking advice, and this thread was right at the top /images/graemlins/smile.gif

The big question is, is going down the...

you should try listening to advice when you ask for it instead of defending your obvious terrible play.

fold the flop

[/ QUOTE ]
I don't think the 'testing the waters' min raise on the flop was all that bad - considering I could be against anything from the BB, having the pair of fives...

Re: Float gone wrong?

I'm thinking villain has AK - he puts in a nearly pot bet on the flop, but after making 2pair he switches to slow to let you do the betting, maybe hoping you hit the ace and wanting you to think that...

A strange 2nd-nuts flush situation

For a hand that I would otherwise have folded to a preflop bet, I ended up having to make a very tough decision on the river.

Basically, it was the battle of the limping blinds, so there was...

Re: 400nl - Big decision with 2nd pair

While K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif10/images/graemlins/diamond.gif is one of the hands that would explain his actions, I think KQ, AQ, and even QJ would have the same turn bet from him. So overall,...

Apparently I'm the only one on these boards that actually usually plays just one /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: AQ with Q on flop - Make the call or not?

Thanks everyone, you comments have helped a lot. I now agree that a fold would be the best course of action.

I suppose the range of hands the villain may have (unless he's making a stone cold...

Re: Rate My Bluff!

I think your pair of 7s will win at show down vs most of the hands that fold if you bet.

And that's a really good point - if you want to prevent the K or even Q calls, you...

Re: Rate My Bluff!

Looks to me that there are too many ways that could turn out with an unhappy ending - and most of those would be compatible with his check on the river. Since you had the initiative, he may be...

AQ with Q on flop - Make the call or not?

I am really having trouble deciding what to do in a situation like this - most hands that can be looked at 'post mortem' have a relatively obvious decision, and maybe this one does too for some of...

My main problem with this hand is that it doesnt make sense for him to not raise the turn but then go ahead and shove the river. That seems retarded w/ just about any hand he can have.

Re: Having Chips and Going Deep?

One time in the UB $30 rebuy tourney I reached the final table (from about 150 players) with a huge chip lead - I had more than half of all the chips in play.

I finished 8th.

And no, I didn't...
