Just a suggestion but what I did was buy in for just 60 bb $30.00 for the first few times till I got a feel for the bigger bet sizes. Worked ok for me.

I think check/fold is right. He called you down and is not scared of paired king's on the board or your raise/cb so I think he was letting you do the work and wanted to pop you on the river.
