Re: Been playing all wrong, or the new long term?
I was not involved in either the hand or the conversation, how about trying to read what was written and not what you think is written? Also it was a between hands conversation, not a planned speech....

Been playing all wrong, or the new long term?
I used to hear old timers complain about how Bad Beat Jackpot's ruin the game, but I never understood how they thought BBJ's ruined the game until last week.

Re: Anybody do this?
That would only be useful I think if you are gathering data to make one last run, and want to know when you should quit.
It is not unusual to go up very fast and then go card dead for the rest of...

JMO, but BB sounds like a good player from your description....

I think I left some description of BB out. Suppose he is holding 67. If the flop is AT6, he...

Re: 6/12 Live: AQo in the CO
You are a coin flip to any pair UTG is holding if in fact he has a pair. Of course if he does not you are only behind to AK preflop.
I would call and let others in the hand. No need to get it...

Re: Adjusting For Nitty Games
Sounds like a main game at a must move room. I move to another limit if I do not have the option of another table. Moving to a lower limit works well, my bb/hour goes way up and my relaxation level...

[ QUOTE ]
Gross. I'm sure a big pair is more likely to them than a flush/straight. Plus it's very likely one of them made something - betting into a probable raise seems dumb. I'd check and...

Re: Bet this river?
Nasty flop against players like this, uglier turn and river. I don't read minds, but I think they are concerned you made a flush. You have to see the end on this hand imo, and in this case I would...

Welcome to the game Sir, low content $4-8 Live
Game is fairly passive, loose standards preflop, mostly solid play post flop. For the past thirty minutes or so six to eight are seeing most flops.
New player I have never seen before sits down...

There is no book I am aware of, you may consider seeing a professional to get to the root cause.
Or it may be a simple math problem of not understanding the dynamics of all the variables that...

I play poker for other reasons than $$. It is alright, not everyone needs to be making a living from poker. Surfing or just whatever is a lot more fun than poker. It sounds like your life is nicely...

Re: 4-8 K-Q VS. ROCK.....LIVE:
Two thoughts?
If you have only played a "only in a few hands after about 2 hours in", I would guess the rest of the table places you and Rock in the same catagory of player, and TAG does not come...

If it is a family pot, and in many hours of play you never observed any holding smaller than a ten, your cards have a better advantage than a family pot of random holdings.
Perhaps a better method...

Re: Mixed up mixing up? Limit
When I did some pencil and paper hands, where hero fit or folds flop on 6,4o there is about 1.5 BB win to play with. That is over ten hands - being generous with players seeing the flop and turn. It...

Re: Mixed up mixing up? Limit
Thanks, a lot better answer than mixing things up.
Going a little further it appears to me that a player ends up playing a lot of hands, which turns into paying more of the rake and the jackpot...

Although I know some very intelligent people who do a very good job at being degenerate gamblers, and alcoholics, and junkies, and morons in general.
