Re: Emploding deep in stars 50k $50+5 - 3 Really Tough Hands

The first hand is interesting. How has the button been playing? Getting out of line any?
The second hand...AT against even 5% of hands here...99+,AJs+,KQs,AKo is about 2-1. He may be shoving...

Re: AK hand

Still have plenty of chips left. I wouldn't want to take AK up against 2 players especially at a new table with no reads for more than half my stack.

Re: Shove here?

No just the one all in so far. But thought process is that a shove would most likely be up against two players seeing as Brewhead called more than half his stack. But the risk is 15BB to win 40BB...

Re: Stars 20/180 - 14 BB\'s in SB, BB has 12 BB\'s... 11 players left

If I'd play it I'd shove it. I really hate a 3bb raise. If he calls, then you're stuck playing OOP and making your decisions that much harder. I'm not a math guy either, so maybe some of them...

Re: HU hand against a decent player in a 200+10

I'd find it hard to call here. Especially based on what you just said about him not being out of line much.

Re: Microstakes Bubble play

LOL at CincyLady. Pretty illustrative story. Perfect reason to fold even AA there I agree. Given this situation, I would get rid of A8.

Re: Shove here?

So you wouldn't advocate jamming here?

I spoke to a manager at the HR Hollywood and he said that once they get full casino games that they are going back to high-stakes poker games.

Re: Top pair weak kicker in big pot

I would fold preflop here. As it is....not sure you can beat much anyways.

Re: 6.50 45-seater : UTG raises to 11XBB...

Fold. I know you only have 13BB but what do you expect to beat? You can't be that far ahead.

Edit: Or ahead at all for that matter.

Re: Common situation w/ midpair and an 18bb stack

But then you'd be giving him a good price to call. What happens then if he calls and then basically puts you in on the flop?

Re: Did I Screw Up?

Yep. What he said. You have a decent stack. Just wait for a better situation.

Re: Oop semibluff late in NL $109

I was thinking the same thing as LC. If he has 99+, and AQ+ he's jamming with that stack..at least I would. Then again that would be a gamble wouldn't it since you're new to the table and you could...

Re: Florida To Get Blackjack and More

The Rock in Tampa had a press release about the renovation on thier website the weekend before the new limits went into place. Seems the plan for expansion had nothing to do with poker, unless...

Re: Oop semibluff late in NL $109

I see the thought process and can agree but isn't his stack size a little thin to pull it off?

Re: Oop semibluff late in NL $109

Maybe I'm too nitty, but if I'm villan, why did he just call instead of jamming? That leads me to believe something strong here. What folds to a check raise?

Re: Common situation w/ midpair and an 18bb stack

Wold this be one of those all in or fold situations? Calling is not an option here right?

Re: Do you stack off here?

I think the advice above is clear. The 1 dollar fields play like free rolls. If you're going to call the shove from the cut off, stick the rest in right there. If the BB has a deuce in his hand,...

Re: Blind against Blind, on the short stack

I would fold pre flop as well but since you didn't...what type of hand could he have? I'm thinking a weak king here but I'd be curious to see what other opinions are. But it has to go in on the...
