2/4 Flop Decision

I am not too sure what to do here. Villian is a solid player who isn't afraid of check raising here with some sort of combo draw or a set or even a made hand. I don't know what to do in this spot....

Re: 400NL : Villain pushes into my set, what now?

I am always calling this bet. i excpect to see 78 alot of the time but not enough of the time to warrant mucking here. As many have said, it is 2 pair or a bluff enough of the time to give you a...

Re: 400 NL 99, 200bb deep

Sure he could be raising you with random crap. How often though? Also, what are you trying to achieve with flat calling the flop if you dont believe him? Half the deck is a scare card for you on the...

Re: 200NL: TP / nut FD

Unless he flopped a straight flush i dont see villian checking a hand that beats you twice here. He would protect his hand in some manner whether he flopped 2 pair or a small flush. You almost...

Re: 200NL: KK

I dont agree with your check because you are now in the position of having to push or fold. Pushing will fold most of the hands you beat and of course by checking you have now let him put you in 2...

Re: NL200 - Probably a simple river decision

I agree with lucky. Betting an amount close to your turn bet will get a call from worse hands and also give you a chance to fold. By betting more, the opposite applies.

Re: Mark Vos: Class Act

Having not only met Mark, but spent time with him on the road playing poker i can testify to what Mark has said in this thread in regards to what is said in the heat of battle and what his real...

Re: 400NL: Flopped pair + flush draw in unraised pot

Your have position on the bettor so you want to isolate him. Raise it up to get the pot HU. You will likely take the pot down right there, if he calls though you may be up against TP with a decent...

Re: Floating leads me to River top pr

Checkin the river here is your only option as i fail to see what he would call you with and as someone else pointed out, if he does call with wth a jack or a 10 then you have categorised the player...

Re: Flop

This is my point exactly Van. You have no idea where you stand on the river because you gained no information on either the flop or the turn. By betting the flop you take away this play from him with...

Re: Flop

The primary reason i bet this flop is to control it. If we check flop and then he fires out a 1/2 pot bet on the turn what do we do? We have the initiative by 3 betting pre, by checking behind we...

Re: 200NL: Have I started spraying chips at random?

I think the the right villian will fold enough hands you are behind here to make it profitable. When he does call and you are behind to an overpair...you still have 10 outs to improve. I like the...

Re: Disciplining the floating TAG

I dont mind the play however i will use it only against opponents that are capable of folding AQ here. Naturally for this to occur you must have a very solid image at the table or know that they have...

Re: Flop

Once he calls the preflop 3 bet of $100 we have to put him on a range of hands. Most likely holdings are AA, KK and AK. All of which have us beat on this flop. He may also have 99-JJ but it is less...

Re: How would you play this????

He isnt getting away from this if he has an ace so you have every reason to push.

Re: NL 200 I flop bottom end of straight HU vs $200 regular

Insta call of course. If he has the nuts so be it. It is more likely that he has flopped a set and is happy to win the pot right there.
