6.5 Turbo 33 in BB

Blinds 50/100

CO (maybe a bit too active, no other reads) - raises to 300 - I have 1350 in BB and have 33. I have not played a hand.

Push or Fold?

Re: pre-flop checkup - is this too tight?

[ QUOTE ]
Go to see the flop and then try to figure out if he has AQ or AK.

[/ QUOTE ]

How do you propose to do this, especially with no reads on the player?

I push.

Re: Stars 27 6-6

Beware the 1/2 stack raise from a shortie. He obv wants your chips in the pot. Fold.

Re: 66 what to do in this spot?

[ QUOTE ]
would anyone consider a big raise to punish the limpers?

[/ QUOTE ]

Definitely not, checking is the only option here preflop and OP said one of the limpers was a calling station...

Re: Limping AA makes things difficult

15/30 is too early to limp AA IMO, even if your limps have been raised previously.

Flop sucks but I call like you did. Fold turn.

Re: Perfect Playing Style

Raise frequently to disguise your hand. Bet all of your draws. Hit all of them on the turn or river. Never have to make a tough decision.

Re: Overpair when a pair hits the flop

Easy call; yes you are pot committed.

I find when the board pairs and you bet people often think you are FOS (at cheaper MTTs at least). If he had AJ,KJ,QJ,JT that sucks, but more often than not...

Re: 4/180 - Villian is second to limp then pushes.... what\'s this mean?

When this happens to me I always see something like 66-TT or A9-AJ, so fold. Have these opponents been limping and then folding to raises? Even without BB's call your giving them over 2:1 to call...

Re: ok one more hand from 5 rebuy

Your getting 4.5 to 1 on your turn call. You are about 18% to hit your 7 or Q on the river. So you are not quite getting the 5.5 to 1 you need. However, implied odds makes this call fine,...

Re: Another Donkey Play?

You also don't have enough chips to be calling raises in the BB w/ 64o.

Re: K6 clubs...in the BB ithought i played it right

MP just bet 1/3 of his stack after another player limped. He's not going anywhere. As loose as you say UTG is, K6s is in bad shape all in against two others. Even if you give the other two players...

Re: Steal gone real bad

You don't have the chip stack to be attempting that type of play (setting up a postflop steal w/ a small preflop raise). Your giving great odds preflop and the other player only has to connect with...

Your playing why?

Re: Raising 2.5x the BB

Some of my thoughts on MLG's questions.

I agree with what FGators answered in his post and, like him, also struggle with number 5.

1) Raising smaller allows you to raise more often since you...

Re: FT Stars: You making a move here?

Shove.

Only thing that could change this is if villain's aggressiveness PF had only been in unopened pots. If he hadn't been raising after limpers you may be able to narrow his range enough to...

Re: Terrible on the bubble fold?

could you elaborate. How would folding when getting 10-1 odds on a small portion of my stack (an extra $600 out of $4300) be correct if I wasn't concerned about bubbling?

3.4s - Good Spot for Isolation?

Only hand I've shown down is QQ, though this is a $3+.40 so who's really paying attention. That also makes me question the play a little just because the BTN might be calling rather light. Is this...

Preflop costs 40 to call a pot of 280 (80+80+80+40) getting 7:1 and you want to fold J/images/graemlins/spade.gif8/images/graemlins/spade.gif? No way.

Stars 4/180, ~30 left I am 6th or so.

I have been fairly active raising at least once or twice per orbit, but have only shown down good hands, I have stolen from the Villain a handful of times,...
