How to play JJ ooP?

It was early in a SNG, so stack sizes didn't matter so much.

In fact, I raise 4 BB in EP with JJ and get one caller in late position. He's playing a very prudent style, moderately aggressive,...

Re: Is this close?

Although most posters agree with my decision to fold, I still think, it's close.
I assume, I beat UTG for sure, if no more heart comes. And I have pot odds of 3 to 1.
If I calculate the BB for 50%...

Re: Is this close?

In fact, I folded.

Not 3-betting was an error, and I had the worst of it. The hand turned out as follows:

Turn is a blank, 2 players, BB bets 20 (all in), UTG calls.
River is a blank.

BB...

Is this close?

Live game 1$ / 2$ pot limit
People behave extremely loose like micro stakes (typical for live game)

Reads:
BB has long poker experience, plays too loose preflop, check/calls with TPnoK, if the...

Re: NL100 AK TPTK OOP 3-bet pot double stacks

On the flop, bet/fold and bet/call are close.
If villain only calls, turn is a difficult decision without reads. It needs a lot of guts from villain to push into a preflop 3-bettor and contbetter...

Übersetzung englischer Fachbegriffe ins Deutsche fragwürdig!

Hallo!
Prinzipiell finde ich ein deutsches Forum gut. Aber ich finde, englische Fachbegriffe sollten nicht übersetzt werden. Einige deutsche Seiten verwenden die deutsche Form von englischen...

Re: $100 99, river decision

If he's bluffing, there is no gain in value between calling and pushing. So, a call is better than a push.

Re: Is C-betting OOP spew?

Whether C-betting is +EV or -EV, depends on the frequency, you do it.
If you do it 100% of the time, and you have observing opponents, it's highly -EV.
You should do it just with a certain...

Re: I feel guilty

I don't remember the hand exactly. But I was UTG with KQ, limped and after several other limpers, BB raised, which was later AQ. Everybody called.
The flop came Q 9 x offsuit. BB went all-in, I...

I feel guilty

Yesterday, I won my first multitable tournament for a long time. But I didn't outplay my opponents, I was just lucky.
When four of us were all-in early in the tournament, I won the pot by...

Re: Live 6/12 - two pair vs. solid TAG

I think, you chose the right line. It's always difficult to judge, whether a fold was right or not. But if you don't do it too often, it doesn't hurt you. The A was just bad luck.

Re: TPTK w/ nut flush draw

UTG+2 smooth-calls the flop, intending to trap the field and raise the turn. He has a monster on the flop, probably 66. When the turn pairs the board, you should find a fold. The preflop raiser has...

Re: 3/6 Two Pair, Raised by Rock

This is a CLEAR fold on the turn UI. The only made hand, bottom two pair can beat, is TPTK (which is AQ). With this coordinated board, very few players will try a free card play from the button with...

This thread is really a nice one. I made the same experience by myself (telling others (or even myself), how good I am, losing,...), and I gave myself the same answer you did.

This is a horrible hand, as played from button. I really cannot see any reason for HIM to play it like he did. What does he put you on? Calling a raise preflop and checkraising this flop? There is...
