Re: 6.50 i want to hero call hu vs. bizzarre line

My guess is he has something like K5, or a busted straight draw. But I wouldn't risk my whole stack to find out. I fold.

Re: 11$ party - reraise on cbet with overpair - easy fold?

This is a push at an $11 table IMO. Button probably has A7 or a smaller overpair. Chances are pretty good you have him beat...he probably would've reraised preflop with QQ, KK, or AA. If he flopped a...

How do you calculate push/fold on the bubble?

OK, I just got SitNGo Wizard to help improve my bubble play. On the "easy mode" quizzes, I average around 80-90% correct. But I really don't know what I'm calculating...I just go by whether it "looks...

Re: $16 TPGK in position L1

I don't think that smooth-calling preflop is an awful play...just marginal. At 15/30 blinds, you have all the time in the world. No need to risk chips with anything other than a premium hand. I guess...

Re: $16 TPGK in position L1

Your preflop call is marginal at best...

I think you're in good shape after the flop. The check-raise indicates that he's definitely got something he likes...which, at a $16 tourney, probably...

Re: Applying pro advice to $10+1 STTs

Well that's what I mean. The general concepts are definitely good for helping my game, but it seems like the players are too loose to make some of the advice useful.

So what ARE some books/guides...

Applying pro advice to $10+1 STTs

I've read Harrington's book and Sklansky's book, and while they have definitely helped my game, it seems like some of the advice doesn't apply to these low stakes tables.

Some of the examples they...

Fold to steal?

I think I badly misplayed this hand, but I wanted to get some opinions:

$10+1 PokerStars STT, 7 players remaining. Blinds are 25/50. Villain (SB) has 820 in chips, Hero (BB) has 1125 in chips.
