My guy (Travelers) said I will get the full check minus deductible, then am responsible for getting someone to do it for that $$$. He also said that I can't find a contractor to work within the $$$,...

My concern here is that without divulging a little, I won't get a fair offer from a contractor. I have had one guy flat out refuse to come see my house unless I told him who my insurance company is.
