I just think that the chips you take down when a worse hand (most likely) folds won't be enough to make up the losses you will have when a superior hand calls and you have to hit the flop in a much...

First off, I'm not too keen on the reraise preflop, depends on the player I guess. Second, I don't think your turn bet was really very weak (just under half the pot), and he may not have read it as...

Since you are in first position after the flop, I would check that turn, but any other position, I'd throw out a half-pot bet.

I would raise the flop to about 4.50, and fold if he reraises. You might get a fold there, but if he calls, I would check behind his likely check on the turn, since people would play trips this way...
