I survived a triple whammy -500 BB, -400 and -400

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y264/stlip/triplewhammy.jpg

primarily $2/4 6 max at stars

I wonder if I suck.

It's a good thing I just play for fun.

You call this fun.

Re: Set possibly hosed on river. What now?

[ QUOTE ]
its pretty bad to fold KK on an A high board because any non ace will bet once you gave up the initiative, things chage if you have capped preflop and your cbet got called

The flop raise is for value!

[/ QUOTE ]

I missed the nut flush draw, no problem with the flop 3 bet even with the cold callers.

Re: *STATS* - Help! I dont want to be a losing player!!

These look close to textbook so you could be running bad.

I used to play 28/18 at 2/4 but I got sick of the variance. Those few extra marginal hands meant I always seemed to be out there when the...

Re: Can I fold river?

River folds, or is that weak

I'm a showdown monkey, which catches enough fish at 1/2 and 2/4 so that it doesn't seem to be a problem. These both looked like the kind of calls I always make but maybe shouldn't.

Both villains...

Re: When to stop the swing?

I wanted to experiment with a few changes in my game so I moved down to 1/2 from my usual 2/4 and 3/6. I had a wicked bad run of people making river flushes on me when I couldn't make any of my FDs,...

Re: flop decisions

[ QUOTE ]

Hand 2: I usually take a passive line here, since a CR isn't very believable and I think our fold equity is pretty low against most lagtag's. I will CR sometimes though just to mix it...

Re: 99 yuck

I love these hands where you've got outs, you just don't know which ones you're hoping for.

I play it the same. Obviously when you get raised on the turn you wish you had checked, but that's...

AQ has gut shot but faces turn raise

Villain and I seem to be on the same schedule and going after the same fish. He's 26/18/1.6 over a couple thousand hands, but he chases draws and bluffs too much. I could almost auto raise or reraise...

Re: RIVER FOLD for one bet in big pot

If we have so much respect for Button's range that we can't call one river bet in this huge pot then I don't think AQo was worth a preflop cap.

Re: Stats checkup, something is very very wrong

You're bleeding in the blinds.

[/ QUOTE ]

Too much BB defense will cost you and that -0.26 in the BB looks to be evidence of that.

You can let stealers get away with a few...

Try this link (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=7175098&an=&page=&vc=1)

There's tons of variance in position results. I think BB play is critical, but I'm on a good run...

Re: How To Loosen Up

You don't need to loosen up much at all. More PFR would probably be good, though.

I was a barely profitable (.5 - .6 BB/100) 27/19 2/4 6 max player but after a 350 BB downswing in Aug. I decided I...

I like the flop peel here. Not much, to be sure. Actually, like is a pretty strong word for that queasy feeling I would have. But I'm stubborn when it comes to donkbets on my pfr's and so I do it for...

Re: Should I be winning in the blinds?

I think BB play pretty much tells everything about whether you get 6 max or not. There are a lot of HU battles where both players may have fairly marginal hands after the flop, but your opponent has...

Re: I can\'t deal with 30/20s stealing my blinds :/

I play 2/4 and the thing I had to realize was that once you get comfortable playing blind defense you can be too eager and see stealers in every situation. I had to calm down and realize that you...
