You shuffle a deck and deal out 12 cards.

What is the probability there is at least 3 cards of any rank amongst those 12?

(4 * 47 * 46 )/ (52 choose 7) = ~0.00006464124 or about 1 in 15 470

To find the chance of this happening exactly twice in 1000 hands,...

Say you hold AsKc, and the board comes with 4 spades... one of which is the Ks. Now you hold a pair of kings "or" a spade flush to beat the...

Most everyone knows the chance of being dealt any pair pre-flop in Holdem is 1/17 (or 16 to 1).

I was wondering, more generally...
