Re: Failing a subject is +EV?
[ QUOTE ]
And if you tell the companies your reasoning for failing, they may even see it as a plus: you are sharp and you think outside the box, etc.

Haha I can see it now.

Re: Failing a subject is +EV?
yep.
Whether I actually go through with it is another thing, to the point where I probably won't make a decision and indecision will make it for me. But since I'm happy either way it doesn't...

Re: Failing a subject is +EV?
Yes companies can see that I failed a course and it affects my average grade, but I live in a country area where demand for jobs I would want to get into is fairly high, and I have other things going...

Failing a subject is +EV?
So I'm in my 3rd year of uni. To graduate I need to pass 24 subjects. I've passed 19, and I'm doing 3 this semester, so assuming I pass the 3 subjects I'm doing, that leaves 2 subjects to do next...

Re: KK deep 5/10...6 max.
I think you're drawing to 2 outs here. You've 3bet an utg raiser in UTG+1 he has to give you respect for a big hand.
I would fold.

Re: Critical evaluation of this call down
Raise preflop.
If u don't raise preflop, I usually give it up on the flop. If you don't give it up on the flop, give it up on the turn. If you don't give it up on the turn, for god's sake...

Re: 200NL - bleh river raise
what are his flop and turn AF?
When you bet that river you have to have a plan for a raise. Since its such a [censored] spot to face a raise, I think I check it to him coz it's rarely going to be...

Re: 200NL: to DB or not to DB
I play it the same as you. The board hits you so often that for him to float you on the flop with nothing is unprofitable vs your range.
Given that, I fold turn.

I agree nothing like a nice lead out to get the action going and hide the strength of your hand.
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree in general but not in this hand given read of Villain 1.

Re: AQo....why i suck at nl
I think you underbet your hand a bit. I would bet more like 60 on the flop, and on the turn I'd push.
As played the river card really sucks. I'd probably pay it off since you're getting great ods.

Re: KJ OOP against nitty donk
Pf, I don't 3 bet OOP with dominated hands against a nit.
As for the river, I fold, I think he plays AK exactly like he played that hand.

Re: KK facing river lead?? .40/.80 (deep)
I think bluffs like this (at this level anyway) are more likely to come from people thinking on the zeroth level than people thinking on the 3rd level.
My point is though that bluffs like this...

Re: 100nl - AK facing min 4bet
I hate these spots.
I probly call and reeval flop. You're getting too good odds to fold, and you're usually crushed if you push and are called.

This is a terrible spot to bluff.

But half the people here are folding KK so it isn't that terrible spot to bluff after...

Re: Sticky spot w/ bottom two
OOP and deep = fold. Even if youre ahead, SB at least has a strong draw, and its hard to put MP on a range, but since he is so passive I think it would be on the stronger end of the spectrum. Being...

Re: Check-raising bottom set on flop
Let me preface this by saying I don't think you can do anything wrong here.
Since the pot is 3 way and is getting nicely built already, I would call here and lead on the turn. The pot is big...
