Re: Thoughts about this hand.
Since you think MP is a decent player at this level, think of it like this - why would you raise there forcing two cold to the rest of the field? I would be protecting second or third pair with a...

Re: A hand at 2/5 Foxwoods
If this is the typical gambooler type, calling for a card means he is already beating that hand. "OK, I'll bet my two pair" means trips or better and calling for a diamond means he already had the...

Re: Tough spot with QQ. 4-8 Live
I'd probably just call it down from here. He could be raising a better hand, but could also be raising with a pair and a flush or strait draw...I would (but usually in position, not from SB). Depends...

Re: Worst hand I\'ve played in over a year.
If you think the tight player is only betting out TPTK or better, then you check fold flop. (Eh, peel flop is ok - but you must go runner, runner to really improve, right? and then def c/f turn) But...

Re: live 6/12, KJo BN, playing overcards
If you are going to play this hand, why not raise PF - you have position and if BB now bets out, you can easily fold flop. Otherwise you take your free card and you've only spent the same 2sb and you...

Jane - now this villain is a maniac. Don't let a bad beat get you down. You played this hand fine (tho' I'd probably raise flop...but whatever). Suck it up, keep playing your game and take the...

Re: River play
To a maniac, I am betting the turn, raising the river and calling a 3-bet. But this play doesn't look like a maniac as there was no cap on flop and no raise on the flop.
What does "maniac" mean...

Re: Help understanding my problem
Also keep in mind that low limit (I am assuming $2/4 or $3/6) has TONS of variance because the players can be so bad and will often play and call lots of trash, so there are more suckouts.
So,...

Re: live 3/6, 66 MP, river play #3
This is a perfect place to bet the turn on a semi bluff. lots of people will call a flop bet or raise but fold that turn with nothing. Not only do you have outs, but often you'll get an Ax to fold.

Re: Playing Weak Tight in a Kill Game?
Nevermind the turn, it seems to me that you might have been too passive on flop in the first place. If you have an overpair to the board, did someone bet and then you just called? I would raise that...
