3bet pf. i want to say raise the flop, but we have a relative monster here and the pot is tiny. the turn, once again has a relatively small pot so i don't hate it, but the one extra bet we go for from UTG could be outweighed by the times this guy will go apeshit with AK on the turn AND river.

Definately 3 bet preflop.
I like waiting to the turn to raise here. On the turn this a great board for you because there are alot of "second best" hands that the SB can have. Like James said your gonna get action on the turn and river in these situations. |

[/ QUOTE ] The other reason to raise the turn is that a diamond river may kill your action. Also, the preflop 3-bet is just because the SB's raising range is so wide (given his stats), right? Against a more typical opponent, I think a call is just fine. -McGee |

Do I have to raise the flop? [/ QUOTE ] You don't have to, but you are probably ahead, and you have the biggest draw, and even if you aren't you probably have enough pot equity to make the raise right. [ QUOTE ] I think, I could have won more by not slowplaying the turn? [/ QUOTE ] Maybe, maybe not, If you raise the turn, and then get threebet, you could smoothcall and you might have won more after the river action. You would definately win more by raising the turn if a diamond comes on the river, which would kill your action. |

When you're holding a monster in a 3-way pot vs. a 61/30/1.7 & a 59/9/2.2, slowplaying is always wrong. And yes, 3bet preflop for value.

I didn't notice the reads at first. Yeah, you've left a great many bets on the table.

I like raising the flop. It's your biggest chance to get MP to coldcall and change the betting dynamic such that it's easier for them to both call you down or whatever else good happens.
