[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] i think flop is a fold after c/r and villian call 2 cold. the only hand we are ahead of bb after he call 3bet pf on bb and c/r that board, is Kx Qs(it's likely but less likely), even with which he has tons of outs. I think i am done right there and then. [/ QUOTE ] That would be very bad. [/ QUOTE ] why? if HU, i may call down. against Kx Qs, we are actually slightly underdog. again 2 pair, after villian's cold call, we are likely drawing 2 outs. plus chance for drawing dead [/ QUOTE ] 14:1 closing action--I'd need red deuces to laydown here. |

[ QUOTE ]
40 full live, running well. I 3bet villain the hand right before this w/ AJ and won it with a flop bet. I forgot who BB was, I think he was a tight not good but not awful player. Villain I think plays for a living but is pretty bad and makes your generic live player mistakes like coldcalling or limping in late position. 4 folds to villain who raises. I 3bet AJ of red, BB calls, villain calls. Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Check to me, I bet, BB c/r, villain call, I call planning to probably raise a friendly turn. I don't know if I'm going to take a free showdown or value bet the river yet, but if I know me then I will probably bet. Turn: 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] BB bets, villain raises, I want to fold, but I FLOPPED A PAIR, so I drop the hammer of justice with a three bet, this one is definitely for a free showdown unless I spike a J exactly. The rest of the hand is not worth talking about. [/ QUOTE ] Your first good chance to fold is preflop. When your raise didn't isolate the three spades on the flop with the check raise should be another chance to fold. The turn is another chance to save some money. |

I would rather pull out my wallet, take out $240, hand it over to the main villain, fold my hand and go for a walk, than 3bet the turn. I think you'll lose the same amount of money either way but atleast you look like a nice guy doing it my way.

I'm folding this turn
but there may be an argument that this player has Ax - the x being of spades I need to know more about the villian to come to this conclusion Really I just can't see doing anything but folding here though |

but there may be an argument that this player has Ax - the x being of spades [/ QUOTE ] That's actually what he had, but the problem is that he has AxTs, AxJs as the only two hands I get any part of the pot back and tons of hands where I am basically drawing dead. |
