ME FLOP PAIR ME NO FOLD SPEW
40 full live, running well. I 3bet villain the hand right before this w/ AJ and won it with a flop bet. I forgot who BB was, I think he was a tight not good but not awful player. Villain I think plays for a living but is pretty bad and makes your generic live player mistakes like coldcalling or limping in late position.
4 folds to villain who raises. I 3bet AJ of red, BB calls, villain calls. Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Check to me, I bet, BB c/r, villain call, I call planning to probably raise a friendly turn. I don't know if I'm going to take a free showdown or value bet the river yet, but if I know me then I will probably bet. Turn: 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] BB bets, villain raises, I want to fold, but I FLOPPED A PAIR, so I drop the hammer of justice with a three bet, this one is definitely for a free showdown unless I spike a J exactly. The rest of the hand is not worth talking about. |
Re: ME FLOP PAIR ME NO FOLD SPEW
villain sounds like one of those guys who will pretty much always have you beat here, i'd fold to the turn raise

Villain... makes ...mistakes like coldcalling or limping in late position. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] villain...raises. I 3bet AJ of red [/ QUOTE ] These two do not go together. A tight big blind is has come along and is mixing it up on a scary board. You're three betting the turn with probable a bronze metal hand and possibly no redraws. [ QUOTE ] villain sounds like one of those guys who will pretty much always have you beat here, i'd fold to the turn raise [/ QUOTE ] ...is the advice I'd follow, though if everything aligns right you may get the BB to fold something like a non-[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] AQ and somehow catch the villain with weird hand like K,Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] but I'm not sure I'd like to bet money on that outcome. |
Re: ME FLOP PAIR ME NO FOLD SPEW
yea, i'd fold and wouldn't lose any sleep over it. villian is showing a good amount of strength here.

Re: ME FLOP PAIR ME NO FOLD SPEW
Oh my god you are so badly beaten. You win here like 1/100.
(I do similarly stupid things every session and every once in a blue moon this works as a bluff) |

Villain... makes ...mistakes like coldcalling or limping in late position. [/ QUOTE ] I agree with those who say fold the turn. To put it plainly, guys who cold call a lot and open limp in late position usually don't have the balls to raise the turn unless they have something better than your pair. |
Re: ME FLOP PAIR ME NO FOLD SPEW
Chalk me up as another vote for folding the turn.

Re: ME FLOP PAIR ME NO FOLD SPEW
i think flop is a fold after c/r and villian call 2 cold.
the only hand we are ahead of bb after he call 3bet pf on bb and c/r that board, is Kx Qs(it's likely but less likely), even with which he has tons of outs. I think i am done right there and then. |

[/ QUOTE ] why? if HU, i may call down. against Kx Qs, we are actually slightly underdog. again 2 pair, after villian's cold call, we are likely drawing 2 outs. plus chance for drawing dead |
