Default SNG Wizard Quiz Help

I was playing around with the quiz feature when I saw this hand:

Blinds: 200/400/25

Stack sizes:
SB: 4888 Call%: 8+
BB: 1790 Call%: 40+
Button: 2982 Call%: 10+
Cut off (you): 3840

You are dealt: Ac 9c and options are Push/Fold.

To me this seemed like an obvious push but the quiz said fold. Is there something I'm missing?

if you don't believe it, check it with pen and pencil. not that i'm saying it's right or whatever, since i didn't read it.

The 40% calling range in the BB probably has a lot to do with it.

Ac9c vs 40% pct = 57.290%

work out the ICM, that's probably why.

That said, would you ever put someone on CALLING top 40% on the bubble in this situation?

You can enter this as a new game to analyze and then you can play around with the ranges to see why or why not. When you enter this one it gives 88+, AJ+ as push range.

Also while in reality BB probably isn't calling top %40, the point of these quiz is to make you think about the hand ranges as they are given and what is your correct response to those specific ranges.

this would take forever to do with pen and pencil since sngwiz factors in every possible senario if you fold. all 8 of them or whatever. but your point still holds. 95% of sngwiz posts have to do with the poster not knowing how to use the program or understanding ICM

I think another REALLY big factor is that you're utg and gotta push through stack that will hurt you + CL and your getting called more than half the time, if you're button I imagine its a push.

At the smallest of stakes, what would be a good starting point for a tight/avg/loose player?

Maybe a super loose is 40%??

Im trying to put the bizarro world of the wiz into my real life "I have a suited Jack I call all in" type of games I play in.

Maybe a tight BB is looking at 20%?

Probably because you are near the bubble and the big BB calling range. I think... not sure.
