"Between you and I"

or

"If you have any questions, please talk to the project manager or I"

People say and write these things all the time to sound smart, when in fact it makes them sound like idiots.

Btw, do you know how "correct" grammar/spelling is determined? They go out to listen and the majority wins. So if 60% of americans think that "should of", or "y'all" are correct forms, then they are. I always think that's very funny with respect to all the grammar nits.

no. "should of" might be granted offical slang status, but it wouldn't be called proper English.

No one on the board seems to know the difference between withdrawal/withdrew/withdraw.

Punctuation misuse really bothers me actually [mostly commas but it extends beyond that].

And that loose-lose thing mentioned earlier.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think I know why you're confused. It's because the other night when we were hanging out, and I told you "Your mom is a big loser," I think what you heard was "Your mom is big and loose."

[/ QUOTE ]

Thats true - but I suppose its because your mom is bigger and looser.

You mean "it's," not its and loser, not looser. Oh you knew that and are trying to level me. You owned me!
