Good TR.

I'm not sure if you or anyone else realized this but I bet the original taxi driver is in on the whole worst strip club, ugly women, stealing money scam since you said he offered to take you there free saying it is the best club (LOL).

Anyway, lesson learned.

I love how since OP has posted a ton people are lining up to pat him on the back and tell him it's all right. If some noob posted the exact same story he would be torn to shreds. I'm not saying either treatment is right or wrong -- it's just a strong dichotomy.

Basically this entire trip report is an absolute disaster. Yes, that sucks. Life lesson. Blah, blah.

But COME ON. OP blew into Vegas with only $500, a stripper basically stole it, and then OP sat around being all, "at least give me some back." What's worse, I gather that OP rolls fairly large at the poker table, so it really is feasible for him to write off the loss. It's not like he had to scrub cum off the floors for a few weeks to build a big enough nut for a ticket home.

Consider this dude's plight:

I have the same compassion for Snake as I would someone who's never played poker.

Unless I didn't read his post correctly he said he had $500 on him. Why should he come into Vegas with every cent to his name on him? HE said he had credit cards.

Snake, chalk it up as experience. I know this really sucks for you now but a fw months from now you'll be laughing about it. The strippers saw you coming (as well as the cabby).

This could all be much worse. You could be me.... a concrete dispatcher, on salary, working in the middle of the night WISHING I was a successful poker player.

There that should make you feel better.

Is it unheard of to be successful at poker and not consequently become really loose with your money?

[/ QUOTE ]

if you are not poor you shouldnt charge a kid 5 bucks for a stufed toy you are trying to give him to be nice. Its 5 bucks!! doesnt matter what you made the money for.

[/ QUOTE ]

I totally agree.... the $5 from the kid sounded kind of odd. But people who are tight most of the time don't choose when to be tight. They're just tight all the time.

AceCR9- I agree..lol, my friend is the bigger r3tard by far. He paid $300 + 160 tip. The stripper was like “here’s how it works…I work off tips and minimum usually is $300”, so my friend grabs everything in his wallet and gives it to her…LOL. I think in a way he got it worse, but he seemed happy so I didn’t say [censored].

Honestly people saying I have no balls don’t know the half of it. I was still deciding whether or not I wanted the dance...when she grabbed ($170+) money out of my wallet (claiming it was her tip) I was still unsure if I was getting the dance or not. I asked for it back and she was like “no, you need it if we want to have fun”. At that point, I realized she’s just taken complete advantage of me and then I decided I didn’t want the dance. I then expected she would give the money back when I told her I was leaving. When she didn’t give the money back and I talked to manager and realized I was screwed I then got very aggressive and was no longer being passive about what just occurred.

Even though my roll online is 30k give or take a few dollars and I have a 2-3k spending account and a good college savings account, I don’t waste money by any means and am pretty much a NIT with how I value money. I have been to a strip club called DejaVu before and they give $20 dollar lap dances for like a song. So when they said $300+tip for 30mins I was like uhh...no way. I might have done it…but when she refused to give my money back that she took I stopped being passive and then asked for it back more aggressively. I obviously put to much trust in a Vegas stripper, this one has no morals and is on drugs (one of employees told me) so I am like whatever…

If I wanted to I was bigger then the manager, I could easily take him out, but strippers are independent contractors and it wasn’t his fault. He said “I have to trust my girls”, but I kept saying why would I tip someone 170+ for a dance I never received and he just shook his head. The manager looked like a f*cking nerd, and I had so much anger in me at time I felt like punching him in the face but I am screwed when a security guard comes. But honestly, what am I going to do?... Hit a stripper? I handled myself very professional until I felt that I was being violated but then it was to late. I didn’t expect her to scam me like she did, I did not wait for the police for 3 hours for the money but because I felt personally violated. The whole experience kind of ruined a good portion of my trip….

You are screwed worse than you can ever imagine if you punch the manager.

If you get dicked over at a strip club, you really dont have any recourse except to not go back and spread the word. The cops won't do anything if someone didn't die and you have zero chance of getting refunded anything.

Something i don't believe has been addressed yet: The cops took 2 and a half hours to arrive, and then told you it was a slow night? WTF?

I had no idea it was possible to have worse experiences than I have had at strip clubs.

Not only did you have a worse experience/were owned harder-this isn't even in the same league.

snake - question: what did the giant basketball kid look like? on my flight this morning from vegas to atlanta, there was an indian family in front of me, and when we landed, the father pulled out a giant yellow and purple stuffed basketball and handed it to his son who looked to be about 12-13.

Oh man this cheers me up, this is even dumber than my story!

BTW, there was a real young looking kid in the V yesterday night, I didn't see him having any problems. Seriously, if I knew it was this easy I would have gone last year, even though I was only 20. Only got carded when I wanted a comp card and when I changed chips at the cashier. You can always pretend you owe your friend money and have him cash out everything later.
