[ QUOTE ] I can handle the emotional hit of missing a thin river value bet better than the emotional hit from allowing him to pull off a trifecta. [/ QUOTE ] I like this. Thanks all for replying. I checked but I was a little afraid that my recent results made me a little weak. I guess not in this hand. FWIW, opponent showed Jxs. [/ QUOTE ] he missplayed the turn. |

Just bet it, can't give an unknown too much credit in 10/20.

[/ QUOTE ] I like a river check as well for this exact reason. [/ QUOTE ] You should never be checking for this reason. Maintain your composure. Don't let your emotions lead you, just play the damned cards!! [ QUOTE ] if he c/red you with a made hand, why would he slowdown on a blank river? [/ QUOTE ] With this draw heavy board and against an unknown, just check it through. |

3bet flop check river. You don't wanna get raised and have to fold. Important to see his cards and know who/what you are dealing with.

That's an expensive pot to lose to a c/r bluff. And although it's going to happen almost never, I've got to say it's a fine spot for one.
I would say bet if I thought that all his pair hands were calling a bet but I highly doubt this is the case, even for his Jxs hands. |
