I have to say, FICS is very good site. Free to play. Rated games. I watched a lecture earlier that was free. They have a free video lecture that I didn't click on but Im sure there are others.
Plus I watched a GM play an IM. Im happy with FICS.

ICC is popular. I play on Playchess, which is wonderful in my opinion. Live streaming commentary by Yasser Seriawan cannot be beat. It's free for me, but I think that's a result of a glitch with Fritz 8.

i cant figure out how to offer rematch? i cant figure out why when the opponents time runs out the game keeps going?
