A bit harsh. In Europe we are seeing the increased use of surveillance cameras, computer tracking, etc. Our Justice Minister in Ireland wanted to ban all land based gambling. He was overruled. Once a Federal Europe is in place, we can expect similar legislation. After all, any ruling elite feels the need to control its subjects.

Despite all our so called advancemnet, human civilization hasn't changed a whole lot since the Illiad. There's a small 'intellectual culture' who thinks they know what everyone should be doing; a small 'political culture who tells everyone one what they can and can't do; a small 'warrior culture' who doesn't really care what anyone thinks or says; and the bulk of the population who complains about all three but doesn't have any power to do anything about it.

I emigrated to America from eastern europe with my parents to escape the corruption of new "democratic" mafia conrolled government that followed the fall of the soviet union. While living in USSR I was jelaus of the amrican way of life mostly jelaus of the freedom. The more I lived here in the the US the more my view of the land of freedom cahnaged for the worse. I realized that this was a land where a politician can lie on TV(WMDs), where the super rich are untouched by the law and where the word FREEDOM is reduced to a propaganda pitch to make the hicks die for Bushes oil money. Only the rich and privileged by birth in the US are trully free. Just like the extermly corrupt Russian government which the Russian mafia uses to rob Russians of Russian oil and natural resources the US government is essentialy doing the same thing . The government is a mafia if they cant get a piece of the action they will kill the action. I just drank a bottle of Goose and I'm rambling but I feel like I just got FIRED, we all did. I decided to leave this country its not what I hoped it to be. It's ironic that there is more freedom in Russia that there is in the US. Granted the US is much more wealthy but its loosing the strongest of its pillars of society, FREEDOM, yes its dissapiring before your eyes if this ban will not open your eyes I dont know what will. I fucving hate the United States of America government. Even a seemingly perfect system like the American Democracy has its Achilies heel. Egypt fell, Greece fell, Rome fell, and I dont know where my drunk ass is going with this but I'm sure the US is not exempt from faith. I decided today to finish my school in europe since the only way I can really pay for my education is from poker. I hate being FIRED and I never thought congress could change my life so much. I always hoped this was gona blow over but it blew up. OH, well its time for a change maybe it will all be for the better.
