The United Totalitarian State of America – Thank god I’m European
 

What kind of democracy suppress the freedom of its people like this latest legislation on gambling? Billions of dollars are being spent on a wars to superinpose the US value system upon the rest of the world, with names like operation freedom.

When it comes to the true preaching’s you can but stagger in fear, as religious right put their beliefs into state law. America is just another face of the Taliban state, religious extremist writing law and telling its people how to act. Today I am proud to be a Swedish citizen, our system is far from perfect but at least we have true freedom.

I actually love America, except for the freedoms we take for granted in Sweden like:

Buying a beer at age 18
Having sex at age 15
and most important being allowed to Play Poker without any government interference.

Seriouly guys, I'm hoping things take a turn for the better for you. I told my wife about this and (from a European perspective) she just about summed it up:

"In a country where it's legal to carry a firearm this is absolutely ridiculous."

Totally fooled? I don't think so. Many, Many, people here have been digusted with the Government LONG before this. For instance, see WAR. Or the total lack of concern for the enviorment. Torture. Envasion of Privacy. The list goes on, and on, and.... But yet, it seems we're stuck between a rock and hard place right now.

Yes we can hold pistols in our homes with 4 young children but we can't play $.50/1 limit hold'em because it ruins families. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]
