sekrah,

They weren't perfect choices but they could have been a lot worse. Lots of times that situation ends with the police being called and the man taken to jail. Leaving was probably a very good thing.

honestly what I would have done is just ignored/pretended I didn't know what was up, and got up later after she fell asleep, checked call logs/checked her pc, etc etc. Wouldn't have been hard to do.

i think by the time you're calling issues with the gf/fiancee/wife "altercations" you've hit the point of no return.

and i agree with the others that there's very little chance of getting custody. unfortunately it looks like your daughter is on the fast track to the stripper pole

What phone service do you have? I have cingular and I know that I can go on cingular.com anytime and access all my phone calls. You'll almost surely be able to access that number in the next couple minutes fairly easily.

Its pretty easy to judge from behind a monitor. I'd love to see how you handle a situation like this.

Why do I feel there is a "Gotcha!!!" somewhere near the end of this story?

All kidding aside, why is everyone bashing the OP?

He just found out his fiancee and mother of his child is banging someone else in a most terrible way.

Who among us WOULDN'T demand to know who it was and get angry enough to kick something?

He didn't hit his fiancee, he didn't destroy anything, and he didn't say anything that's going to end up in court one day.

OP: you did a good job managing your anger. Next step, talk to a family lawyer about custody between unmarried parents in your state.

Close all accounts and credit cards you hold jointly with your fiancee.

You don't necessarily have to move out.

Don't do or say anything you don't want repeated in front of a judge. Keep your cool.

I think it's awesome that a sketchy-acting probable whore and a rage-filled dude like yourself are popping out babies. Hope her therapy goes well.

Wow, I think every single decision you've made so far has been wrong.

Edit: Except for not taking your daughter. That would have been a mess.

I think OP did fine. He didn't do anything violent, didn't break anything, he didn't even tell the slutbag what a rotten cuntwhore she was. He grabed some stuff and got the hell out of there when it became obvious the bitch had done him dirty.

He started by yelling at her which shut her up. He kicked at the door and probably yelled more when she locked herself in. He considered taking his daughter with him.

He basically maximised his chances of never figuring out exactly what happened and ruined any chance that this poor kid could have of them staying together or on good immediate terms

There were some words and yelling but it wasn't nonstop berating.

There was nothing broken and I've never hit her once in the 5 years we've been together.

Do you have any idea what Daddy leaving does to a 4 year old? For the rest of their life?

You need to get back there and try to fix this and try to minimize the damage to your kid.
