Not been at the table long so no real reads except i noticed Villain 1 had been limping into a lot of pots.

This is an interseting spot, but i think there's a good chance we're still ahead.
Do people here like a call or a push? I don't think folding is an option here. Villain 1 and 2's range are both quite wide, IMO. Both can have a boat. JT, QJ, and KQ are within both of their ranges, as are diamond draws. There's a reasonable chance hero is beaten, but IMO a fairly good chacne he's ahead. So what to do? I'm not sure. I think it's got to be fairly close between a shove and a call, right? A shove is goign to get called by a non-boat T and maybe even by a diamond draw, since we only have like 10 more on top, and even QJ might make a stupid call, so I think I like a shove. A call and then passive play, planning to call any bet on a non-diamond river, and releasing to action on a diamond river doesn't seem bad, but I dont think i liek it as much. thoughts? |

Push - The bet is a small bet into a big pot. It could be a naked Q, a T, or some kind of pair/draw combo. It's all getting on the river anyways, so just put it in there now.

i lead turn. not sure what amount. haven't done the Sklanskyesque "opponent will call X bet Y % of the time, so you should bet Z if his odds are Q R% of the time and W M% of the time"

I would pot bet this flop, Then bet the turn about $12-15 this will give you a better idea of where you stand. With no reads i would shove here the way you have played it.2 pr and a flush draw are shown here alot sometimes you will see a boat but i personally think your good here most the time, But you just gotta bet the flop more then maybe you can get it in on the flop, but yer dont fold

I push the turn first to act. Hero is up against a flush draw, a J OESD, trip 10s, or a pair of Queens, or some combination of these hands, most of which call a push that's < pot sized bet, far more often than he's up against a made full house. Hero offers no implied odds. Ignore the monsters under the bed and put money in now.
As played, I don't see the purpose of checking the turn unless you intended a check/push. Villain 1's call doesn't scare me much, since he's getting great odds on a lot of draws. When it's back to me I push, getting almost 2:1 on my money. If you're calling any non-diamond, non-double pair river anyway, which I think you would have to, your money's going in the pot if you're beat most of the time anyway. |
