Hi,
I haven't read any of the other responses in this thread, but from what I can tell, even 3 handed at 20/40, it looks like you are spewing an awful amount here. In hand 1, I think the preflop 3bet is pretty bad OOP against a solid player, but I think you played the rest of the hand fine. Hand 2 is just sick. Why on earth would you go 4 bets on that turn with a pair of tens with an A and K on the board...even if you somehow won this one, you won't win a lot of those. Hand 3, I think the open raise there is bad...really bad. The cap I am ok with if you have been opening light recently, but still not so much since the guy who 3 bet you is tight, so luikely he isnt messing around OOP here. I guess the flop raise is ok if you are planning on going for a free turn card, but I still don't like it very much. Overall, I think you understand that you need ot be aggressive to win in these games (which is good), but you are picking very bad times to do it, and trying to knock people off hands that are very hard to knock people off of in limit hold em. Good luck getting that money back. |

You are doing some serious damage to your bankroll. Stop playing and get your head screwed on straight. If you feel tempted to play again and spew, look down at your foot for actual, physical proof of tilt.
God Bless, lil' |

Revisit pre-flop fundamentals.
Limit is about winning showdowns and the best way to do that is starting with better cards than your opponents. |

I'd love to have you in my games, move up!
The aforementioned sarcasm is meant to say "You are playing terribly, stop before you go busto." |

Yea i'm going to start playing real good solid poker now. Just read the Theory Of Poker first time in my life.. sick book.
Maybe I will read some other books too. I bought some new drugs yesterday aswell.. the seller told the y will activite some unused parts of my brain. Well that sounds good! And they seem to have a nice side affect of making me very tired and happy. |

... So in my mind I think whatever I need to play the lag style to hit the lucky run as it's my only chance to make money back. [/ QUOTE ] Therin lies your problem. This is the gambler's fallacy. As soon as anyone says "I need to make my money back" they may as well take several hundred/thousand/million dollars (whatever is lost) and just send it to me and quit. I promise I will return half and you'll have 100 times more than if you continued to play whatever game you are playing. Your money is GONE. It's not your money any more. You have to earn whatever you're going to get. And sadly it won't be in one hand or one session. It will take alot of playing well, alot of luck and more solid playing. Good luck. Magi P.S. Take some time off -- you should stay away from the game as long as it takes to get rid of that feeling that you need to make money back. |

Hand 1. I fold preflop
Hand 2. I fold to the turn C/R Hand 3. I fold preflop Do you play all your hands like this? If so, I think you are a losing player, who got lucky in his first 100K hands. It happens. Sorry to be harsh. |

Harsh is good, that's why I posted this. Being insulted pushes me playing better. I have now played couple days with my new open ranges and I'm quite happy with them:
UTG 66,77,88,99,TT,JJ,QQ,KK,AA AT,AJ,AQ,AK A7s,A8s,A9s,ATsAJs,AQ,AKs, KJ,KQ KTs,KJs,KQs QTs,QJs, QJ, JTs, T9s MP 55,66,77,88,99,TT,JJ,QQ,KK,AA A8,A9AT,AJ,AQ,AK A5s,A6s,A7s,A8s,A9s,ATsAJs,AQ,AKs, KT,KJ,KQ K9s,KTs,KJs,KQs QTs,QJs, Q9s,QJ, JTs,J9s T9s CUTOFF 44,55,66,77,88,99,TT,JJ,QQ,KK,AA A6,A7,A8,A9AT,AJ,AQ,AK A2s A3s,A4s A5s,A6s,A7s,A8s,A9s,ATsAJs,AQ,AKs, KT,KJ,KQ K9s,KTs,KJs,KQs QTs,QJs, Q9s,QJ,QT, JT JTs,J9s T9s, 98s, 87s BUTTON 22,33,44,55,66,77,88,99,TT,JJ,QQ,KK,AA A3,A4,A5,A6,A7,A8,A9AT,AJ,AQ,AK A2s A3s,A4s A5s,A6s,A7s,A8s,A9s,ATsAJs,AQ,AKs, K9,KT,KJ,KQ, K6s,K7s,K8s,K9s,KTs,KJs,KQs Q8s,Q9s,QTs,QJs Q9,QJ,QT, J9,JT J8s,J9s,JTs T9 T9s T8s, 97s,98s, 87s, 65s I should still figure out some 3 betting ranges and how to showdown less with K and A highs, I'm getting better at folding Q-highs. It's just hard to fold when about everyone else goes so much to showdown. I just played this hand: I raise K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] from cutoff unknown button calls. Flop is J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I bet and the button calls. Turn is 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I bet, he raises and I call. River 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and I check-call. He had AA. Hands like this come up all the time where i'm unsure if I should drop it on turn or river. So be warned party 20 40 players! Starting from tommorrow there is one more good player. |
