[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I have to agree with Crockpot I thought the Cubs off-season moves were pretty decent I think their problems stem from injuries (kind of expected some, but this has been overkill so far) and being the most impatient team at the plate that I watch on a consistent basis. Dusty's hitting philosophy that he stresses to his players = teh suck. [/ QUOTE ] Duhsty and his staff are the worst hitting coaches ever. It's almost like they've made some declaration that anyone that works the count gets fined. And this isn't the first year for that, it's every year. Also, they pretty much rested everything on Lee carrying the offense, and they probably expected 20-25 HRs each from Murton and Jones which isn't gonna happen. [/ QUOTE ] Jones already has 11 I think, so 30 isn't out of the question. Murton's power will take a year or two to develop imo. |

Bump. After opening up a five-run lead on the Mets two grand slams in the sixth have made it 11-5.

David Wright makes it 13-5. My hatred for the Mets is only outweighed by my desire to see Cubs fans riot.

So is this now the *official* Cubs blow thread?
I can't believe you bumped this from May/June. That's a low blow to all 17 true Cubs fans. |

Error, bloop hit, bloop hit, homer in the first row. The Cubs give up like 5 times more homers in the basket than they hit. Yes, they are bad, but sick, sick luck this year has made it even worse. It's painful to watch.

Once their warning-track shots start falling into the basket, and the bad guys' don't. |
