Default Cubs self-destruction thread

Wind is blowing hard out of Wrigley, the cubs touch up Smoltz for four runs in the first, and then Jae Kuk Ryu gives up 3 homers and a double in the 2nd.

Top 1st: Atlanta
- E. Renteria homered to deep center
Top 2nd: Atlanta
- A. LaRoche homered to deep right center
- R. Langerhans homered to deep right
- M. Giles homered to deep left, J. Smoltz and T. Pratt scored

In comes Glendon Rusch, who has given up 11 homers in 33 innings.

Jack,
This doesn't change the fact that the Cubs fans that are present will still have fun and get drunk.

A new record set yesterday for attendance, I think they said it was the most since '78.

Why do I keep watching.

Lifelong Cubs fan. I wish I could quit and root for the Cardinals or somebody decent. Being a Cubs fan is sort of like having a heroin addiction. The only difference is that there is never a high when it comes to being a Cubs fan.

Man that would have been sweet if Pratt got up and forearmed Barrett to the jaw.
